For Part 1 of this case study, you will be doing just that. You are the best person to give an overview perspective of the dynamics that make your community work. Using the demographic information of your school district (please use District A) in the table above, how might you describe your community? Specifically address the local customs and traditions that impact teaching and learning. Spend some time reflecting on the cross-cultural and diversity issues in your community.Once you have compiled your observations, construct a minimum of a 200-word response.

  • Describe the strengths and possible areas that might need attention if your community is going to be proactive in addressing the educational needs of all students, as well as faculty.
  • If your community is to move forward, what issues are the top priorities?
  • As a teacher leader, what do you see as your role in helping the building/district move forward?
  • What could be the first two major steps to begin implementing your role and tackling the problems you identified? Please note that you are making predictions based upon the criteria included in the table above. Multiple responses will be accepted. Part 2: You have been asked to serve as a mentor for a newly established teacher-leader team in a neighboring school district. Your administrators are attempting to bring the two districts closer together since you have so many mobile families who move between the two districts over the course of the year. Your role is to help this new teacher leader team put together a plan of action on how to deal with issues within their district and how to structure their plan. Use the information provided below to get a feel for the differences and similarities between the districts. Which items would you recommend the group address first, second, etc.? Provide rationale for your suggestions. What would be the strategies you would use to help the teacher leader team mentor their co-workers? In a minimum three-page case study, address each of the following issues:
  • Goals: What is the end goal? How do you help the team set priorities?
  • Communication: What needs to be communicated to the faculty in order to improve the culture and climate in their building?
  • Training: What will the training look like? How will you structure the workshops to help those classroom teachers make the transition/change? What will be the components of the training?
  • Timeline: What is the timeline? Please include the order in which the events need to take place.
  • Domains: How will you address the “domains?” Please use the criteria above as headings so that your plan is clear.

Team development | Education homework help

Using the information from the course content area for this week as your basis, how does the Remember the Titans video clip exemplify the stages of Tuckerman’s theory?  Give specific examples in your responses.

First of all, it is rare that work teams are built from the ground up.  Most often a new member joins an existing work team, but sometimes new teams are established to address a specific goal or solve a problem in the workplace.

This week we look at group development Your text introduces Tuckman’s well known models of group development developed in the 1960s.  In addition to reviewing the material in your text, watch this short video that summarizes Tuckman’s model.

Tuckman’s Team Development

Seems simple enough, does it not?  This week we look at how to recognize developmental stages of teams so that we can better understand that they are critical to team development.  Because success in athletic competition depends on how well teams perform, we will be looking at an example from the sports world.

Remember the Titans

Many of you may have seen this popular movie on TV, Netflix, etc.  The movie is set in Virginia in 1971, a turbulent time of school desegregation.  The actual high school depicted in the movie is T.C. Williams High School.  If you haven’t seen the entire movie, you might find it a nice diversion.  In addition to the great plot, it is considered by those teaching leadership and organizational theory and behavior to be a classic teaching tool.

you may watch the entire movie at the link below.  You will need to download Microsoft Silverlight to your PC or Mac to view the movie (Silverlight is free).

Watch these video clips and note how the concepts from Tuckerman’s Team Development theory play out in the video clips. While not a component of Tuckerman’s original theory, adjournment is a stage of teams that are formed for a temporary tasks.  Adjournment is included in this clip.

Remember the Titans-Form, Storm, Norm, Perform

in the end write what do you really like about it! 100 words.

Child study team presentation | Education homework help

Child study teams provide school districts with an established structure for following screening, pre‐referral, referral, and classification procedures. In turn, teachers should be knowledgeable of their role and responsibilities within the child study team process. This ensures pre‐referral strategies are implemented with fidelity within the classroom setting and data is collected concerning student’s strengths and weaknesses to fully inform decision making.

Design a 10‐15 slide digital presentation for general education teachers detailing the following about child study teams:

  • An engaging title section as well as appropriate text, graphics, and layout.
  • Why a child study team would be assembled and who would be a part of the team. Explain each team member’s role.
  • The differences between screening, pre‐referral, and classification procedures.
  • Legal definitions and assessment requirements regarding next steps for obtaining a formal special education disability classification. Include when the team can determine that all pre‐referral strategies have been exhausted and the only thing left is to refer the student for a comprehensive evaluation for formal classification under one of IDEA’s disability categories.
  • Select one of the IDEA disability categories. Identify and describe 3‐4 resources teachers can use to help determine students’ strengths and weaknesses in consideration of a referral for this chosen disability category.

In addition to the presentation, create a supplemental handout that briefly explain three classroom pre‐referral instructional strategies that could be used to provide documentation of targeted supports for a student not making adequate progress.

Support your findings with 2‐3 scholarly resources.
