The situation becomes complicated because some words are spelled differently in American English and British English. However, there is always hope for those who face difficulties in spelling, as they can consider getting professional help with their essays. However, it can be a perfect guide for you as a college student striving to perfect his writing skills. Some of the words that observe this rule include: piece, believe, and field. Some words with reservations to this rule are those that have both letters I and E coming after letter C. They interchange the letters. As such, E comes first before I. Some of these words include receive and deceit.

Adding Suffixes to Words that End in Y

There are various suffixes that you can add to words that end with y. Such include suffixes starting with e such as –ed, -er, or –est). When you add such suffixes to words ending with Y, then the Y automatically changes to an I. Some of these words include “cry”, which changes to “cried”. Others include “lay” which changes to “laid”, “baby” which changes to “babies”, “family” which changes to “families” and “ugly” which changes to “ugliest”. You can check out the reservations associated with this specific guide online.

The Silent E

An E after a consonant should be silent. However, this should not affect the way you pronounce the vowel that comes before the consonant. Some of these words include bite and cute. Correctly getting these words will help you detect plagiarism.

Double Consonants

For double consonants, it is usually difficult to hear them when the pronunciation of a word is loud. It is often most common when a word has a single syllable. In most instances, double consonants occur in words with suffixes. One of these words is blessed. Dessert is also one of the words with a double consonant.

Plural Suffix

There are instances that –s is added to a word to make a plural. There are also those times when we add –es to make a plural. Discerning when to use either of these has been a challenge to most students.

From the guide, there are several rules that one is supposed to observe to perfect their spellings. In college, there are always penalties attached to spelling errors when a student submits an essay for marking. 3. Understand the question

Don’t jump right into working the assignment before deciphering the question. This is a common mistake that most students make from as early as elementary school. Here’s a little trick; take a break, understand what the question is all about, and then engage your mind. Failure to do so, you may answer what wasn’t asked of you.

You don’t have to invest in an essay writing service where you have to pay some unreasonable prices for your essays when you can be the expert in this sector. Some assignments are too straightforward to seek assistance from a writing website. Understanding your question gives you a better chance of working on the paper fast.

With academic projects, it’s all about how you present your ideas and thoughts. Sentence structure and grammar are a crucial aspect of this process. The trick is to clearly communicate as much info as possible in the fewest words.

For your assignment, you should have short paragraphs and sentences that are easy to understand. Moreover, you need to proofread and edit your work after it is done to make sure every sentence makes sense and adds value to the paper.

5. Avoid speculation and information you don’t understand

You also need to give a lot of emphasis on doing a thorough research and collecting data significant to your topic. If the information doesn’t add value to your paper, leave it out. Save your time as well as your readers’.

Cite and reference your work correctly to avoid a case of plagiarism. Use a legit anti-plagiarism tool online to ensure 100% uniqueness. These online tools are easy and safe to use, and sometimes, free.

6. Seek clarity and simplicity

The key to a quality paper is not a lot of info but well-explained facts. Focus on the topic at hand. Don’t bother explaining meaningless statistics; they will not add value to the paper.

Assignment #7 – rules & procedures

This week I would like you to think about rules and procedures for students to follow while working on the computer whether individually or in groups. Make these for a one computer classroom. Remember that if you do not convey the behavior you expect the students will come up with their own ideas, so think about how you expect the students to behave before using technology/computer, during its use, and after completing the use of any given digital device.

  1. Create a set of basic rules. Keep it short, sweet, and clear. You should need no more than 5. Ex. No food or drinks at the computers.
  2. Create a set of procedures: Procedures explain what you expect. For example: When walking to or from the computer students will do so quietly and quickly without disturbing the other students. You may have one for gathering materials needed. Think like a teacher or parent and head off trouble. If students know what you want and how you expect them to behave in the classroom runs much better and everyone is happier. You should need no more than three procedures for this assignment.
